I have been a researcher and project manager at Nofima, Department of Process Technology, since 2009. I was awarded my PhD in microbiology in 2007 at the University of Bergen. Then I worked for two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Stavanger, Centre for Organelle Research. I have specialist expertise in general microbiology, molecular microbiology, and food safety and hygiene. I have also coordinated and participated as a work package leader in several national and international research projects ranging from sustainable production of vegetable food, development of new industrial food processing technologies, ‘Design for Cleaning’, validation of new cleaning systems for food processing, development of molecular methods for detection of pathogenic microorganisms, etc. I have published over 30 articles in international peer-reviewed journals that have received over 1600 citations and contributed to over 40 international peer-reviewed conference publications.
