Currently I am working as a Scientist at NOFIMA AS in the Department of Food Safety and Quality. My research focuses on advancing food safety and quality through innovative materials and processing technologies, with a strong interest in sustainable solutions for the food industry.
I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering and Materials Design from the University of Nottingham, UK and an M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Before joining NOFIMA, I gained extensive international experience in both academia and research institutes. I served as an Assistant Professor in Advanced Materials at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and as Director and Principal Investigator at the Ningbo Nottingham Material Institute, where I led projects on composite materials. My career also includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at NOFIMA in Stavanger, Norway, and as a Research Associate at the University of Nottingham, UK. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Visiting Research Scholar at INRS in Canada and as a Research Assistant at the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission.
With a multidisciplinary background spanning materials science, food technology, and chemical engineering, I am passionate about developing innovative solutions that enhance food safety, sustainability, and quality.
