Bioprocessing
We conduct research into how to extract valuable components from raw materials to be used in new products.
Whether it involves proteins, minerals, collagen, haemoglobin, omega-3 or other important components of the raw material, we must tailor the processes to maximise quality and utilisation.
Our work includes hydrolysis and extrusion technology to maximise value creation from our natural resources.
We help companies upscale from laboratory to industrial production, and we have unique facilities and equipment for a variety of processes and raw materials.

Centre for research based innovation (SFI)
The SFI research centres are The Norwegian research council’s long-term initiative in innovative and strategically important areas.
SFI Harvest will draw upon Norway’s leading position in the ocean and offshore sectors to develop technologies for sustainable harvesting and processing of underexploited species.
