I am a researcher in processing technology based in Stavanger. My work focuses on enhancing product quality, extend shelf life, improving resource efficiency and sustainability across the food value chain.

I hold a joint Master’s degree in Aquatic Food Production from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). In 2021, I earned my PhD at NTNU with the thesis titled “Chilling of Atlantic salmon in refrigerated seawater”, which investigated subchilling salmon in refrigerated seawater and compared it with traditional ice storage throughout the value chain.

In 2022, I joined Nofima as a Postdoc, focusing on sustainable food packaging. My research interests include temperature-preservation technologies, mobile slaughter, food packaging, and the valorisation of residual raw materials.
