MicroPack
Norway is known for safe food production, but pathogenic microorganisms and food waste remain challenges that must be addressed. Through the MicroPack project, researchers will develop new knowledge on how to ensure food safety, prevent food waste, and develop circular packaging solutions that meet future sustainability requirements.
Period
2025 - 2028
Funded by
The Fund for Research Fees for Agricultural Products (FFL)
MICROORC
MICROORC will develop sustainable solutions that reduce and prevent food spoilage and food waste, with focus on technologies, services, tools, policies, and practices that are based on monitoring, utilizing, and targeting microbiomes in food and the food processing chain.
2023 - 2027
Horizon Europe (EU)
ReFiberPack
The project aims to develop new and recyclable food packaging based on recycled cellulose fibers and removable barriers, so that these two parts can be sorted separately and recycled. The new solutions will enable the use of recycled cellulose fibers for high-quality packaging applications in contact with food without compromising their next recycling.
2023 - 2026
Research Council of Norway
GelPack
The aim of this project is to establish pilot-scale production of fish gelatin from salmon fish scales and assess the suitability of the extracted gelatin for food packaging applications.
