I mainly work on issues related to municipal and regional planning, particularly coastal zone planning. In my ongoing ph.d-project, I focus specifically on barriers and opportunities for more integrated planning, and how to ensure good coordination between use and conservation, as well as good interaction between industry, conservation interests, and local communities. Through various projects, I have studied different practices regarding climate planning, assessment of cumulative impacts, and the use of various planning tools. Additionally, I have been involved in projects on food fraud and resource crime within the fisheries sector. I have also served as a member of the expert committee for the assessment of the trawler obligation system (‘Pliktkommisjonen’). I have a master’s degree in community planning from the University of Tromsø.
