Originally a lab person, I have slowly transitioned into bioinformatics. I mainly work on next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. I have a broad background both from the US (University of Maryland, Institute of Human Virology, Harvard Medical School, MIT) and Norway (NMBU, Norwegian Veterinary Institute, Norwegian Institute of Public Health and Oslo University Hospital). I have worked on many different projects, but my primary interests are innovative uses of NGS data and emerging diseases.
