As CEO of Nofima, my aim is that we live up to our vision and deliver on our social mission. Nofima shall have insight into the food industries and respond with research that contributes to sustainable food production and good management of resources from both sea and land. In my opinion, it is important that our research is relevant and applicable to the industries.

Here is my professional background:
I have Cand Scient (1996) and Dr scient (2000) in Nutrition biology at University of Bergen and NIFES. Followed by 16 years of work experience in NIFES where I worked as scientist, senior scientist, Group leader for Seafood in human nutrition and Research director for Fish nutrition. I also have experience from MOWI as Global Team leader for fish feed in the R&D and Technical department. I am at the board of directors of EAS (European Aquaculture Society; board member 2018-2026, President 2022-2024), NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster (board member 2022-2024) and board member in the HAV (Ocean) portfolio board of the Research Council of Norway until 31.12.2023. I have education in management and economics at Harvard Business School (Certificate of Management Excellence) and BI.
