I am a researcher in the department of raw materials and process optimization, where I currently focus on research related to sustainable food ingredients based on microorganisms. I also have a strong interest in nanotechnology and have worked on the development of nanomaterials for use in active and intelligent packaging concepts. I have an MSc in chemistry and a PhD in biosciences from Åbo Akademi University in Finland. During my PhD, my main focus was on the design and synthesis of nanomaterials for various biomedical applications, such as targeted therapy and diagnostics.
