I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the Seafood Industry Department, where we are investigating novel technologies such as hyperspectral imaging as alternative tools for the characterization and quality assessment of fish and seafood products.
I am involved in both tasks regarding the characterization and optimization of instrumentation, the data acquisition, and finally the application of imaging processing techniques.
I am a Telecommunication Engineering, and MSc and Ph.D. in Telecommunication Technologies from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC).
My background is on the investigation of hyperspectral imaging for medical applications, while my PhD was focused in the evaluation of hyperspectral imaging for histology applications.
