I am a PhD candidate and packaging engineer (temporary post 2023) in the Department of Food Safety and Quality.

My PhD is about cellulose-based materials used in food packaging, with the goal of reducing the use of plastic while maintaining the food’s quality and shelf life. My work includes the use of various packaging technologies, materials and packaging machines.

The project is affiliated with the strategic programme FutureFoodControl.

I am a graduate engineer in industrial chemistry and biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, specializing in biotechnology and food science (2021). In my master’s thesis, conducted in collaboration with Nofima, I used molecular methods for DNA sequencing in combination with traditional morphological methods to characterize mould from cheese, with a focus on food safety.
