I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Food safety and quality department, where I study mold-related challenges in the food industry through the MouldReduce project. Our work focuses on characterizing mold isolates, identifying contamination routes, evaluating disinfection strategies, and developing preventive measures to minimize mold contamination in food products.
I hold a PhD in Molecular Microbiology (2025) from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), where I studied endospore appendages on bacterial spores. This research provided new insights into how foodborne bacterial spores survive and contaminate food production systems. I also hold a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from NMBU (2020), where I researched the infant gut microbiota.
