I’m passionate about finding new ways to produce more food from the sea – and doing it sustainably. At Nofima, I lead a great team of experts who work hard to solve real challenges in food production. We believe everyone should have access to sustainable food, and the ocean holds many of the answers we’re looking for.
My job is to help Norway stay at the forefront of fish farming and sea-based food production. I work with my team to turn good research into practical solutions that actually work for the industry. Having worked both as a researcher (with a PhD in nutrition from the University of Bergen) and as a business leader (as CEO of Orkla Ocean), I understand both the scientific and business sides of food production.
Now, as Division Director at Nofima, I focus on bringing research and industry together to create real solutions. I’m always looking for new ways to improve how we produce food from the sea.
