I work as a researcher in the Department of Production Biology within Nofima’s Aquaculture Division. My expertise spans aquaculture production systems, production technology, and water quality, as well as fish welfare and fish physiology. I also engage in research related to invative technology development in aquaculture.
My educational background includes an a PhD from Kiel University, where I focused on the developing a experimental aquaculture facility for measuring metabolic fuel use under different artificial environmental conditions. I was the lab leader of the close containment aquaculture unit of the zoology department at the University of British Colombia for the comparative physiology group. Testing Coho and Atlantic salmon production under different environmental conditions.
