Summary
A new HPLC system for the method “BIOLAB A 23 Astaxanthin” was validated. The new instrument is an Agilent 1260 Infinity II and replaces a Perkin Elmer Series 200. There are no changes in the method’s principles or sample matrixes. The method’s accuracy, precision and linearity were evaluated. The validation demonstrated that the new instrument performs as expected and can be used for accredited analysis of astaxanthin. The report has been reviewed by Norwegian Accreditation and the instrument has been approved for accredited analyzes as of January 23rd 2019.
