Summary
Aquaculture of salmon and trout in sea in Norway needs a license, and have been issued in announced rounds. Each round comes with a Regulation from the Ministry. This report identifies special concerns that have been stated in the Regulations to be used for prioritising applicants for new licenses for the rounds 2002–2013. The development of the general laws and regulations for aquaculture from 1973 to date is also investigated, and summed up especially for the special concerns identified for 2002–2013. We see several interesting trends in the development.
