Summary
The aquaculture industry in Troms made purchases of 5.4 billion in 2015, and had a total value creation or contribution to GDP of 2.52 billion kroner in 2015. This includes value creation throughout the value chain, from aquaculture to processing and wholesale. Value creation represented approximately 37% of the total turnover of aquaculture companies, which was NOK 6.84 billion in 2015. This resulted in a value creation of NOK 2.88 million for the year. Total employment in primary activity was 877 man-years in 2015.
