BACCHUS

Beneficial effects of bioactive peptides and polyphenols on cardiovascular diseases

The main objective of the BACCHUS project is to develop tools and resources that will facilitate the generation of robust and exploitable scientific evidence that can be used to support claims of a cause and effect relationship between consumption of bioactive peptides and polyphenols, and beneficial physiological effects related to cardiovascular health in humans.

Production of high quality salmon

The aim of this projec t is to utilze packaging technology and analytical methods in order to obtain better exploitation of the fish raw material by predictable, optimal product quality and prolonged shelf life of pre rigor fileted salmon.

TeRiFiQ

TeRiFiQ is a 4-year EU-project where Nofima is one of the key participants. In addition to Nofima, the Norwegian food producers Leiv Vidar and Millba participate in the project, together with several other European R&D partners and industry.

Risk assessment of algal toxins in new marine feed sources for salmon

ShellFeed project aims to enhance understanding of the toxicity of these algal toxins in salmon following dietary exposure, and to investigate the potential transfer of these toxins or their metabolites into fish fillets or by-products.
