Registration and attendance is free and will include a buffet lunch. The dialogue will be in Norwegian.

The workshop is primarily designed for industry professionals, fish health personnel, regulatory personnel and also for researchers and others interested in the field to provide inputs and feedback on the scoring schemes, allowing the CrowdMonitor consortium (FHF project 901595) an opportunity to revise the schemes if needed.

Program

The workshop will include presentations from:

  • Chris Noble (Nofima) and Lars Helge Stien (Institute of Marine Research (IMR)) who will present recent operational feedback on the schemes and some updates to it.
  • Rene Alvestad (Nofima) will also present a short introduction to the FHF project HandleWithCare (FHF project 910465) that has some synergies with the CrowdMonitor project.
  • A representative from the TreatSupport project (FHF project 901979) who will also present some of their findings related to crowding in net pens.

Small group-based discussions will then be held before and after lunch to discuss the CrowdMonitor handbooks and operational crowding in both tanks and net pens, and this info will then be used to update the handbooks if needed.
