Postdoc
I’m originally from Iran and have lived in Norway since 2019—first as a master’s student in the IMBRSea program (Marine biological resources), then as a PhD candidate, and now as part of the Nofima team. I hold a PhD in aquaculture–fish nutrition from the University of Bergen and the Institute of Marine Research, where I studied sustainable feed ingredients like blue mussel silage and fermented kelp for Atlantic salmon. I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher in the NFR-funded OsmoProtect project, focusing on how dietary and cellular osmolytes influence skin health and resilience in farmed salmon. My experience spans feeding trials, assessments of fish health and growth, and the use of molecular, biochemical, and chromatographic techniques. I’m especially interested in the link between nutrition and physiology to support sustainable and welfare-focused aquaculture.
