I am a researcher in food processing with a broad academic background, including a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, a master’s degree in molecular biology, a PhD in cancer genetics, and a postdoc in microbiology. After over a decade in cancer research, I joined Nofima in the Department of Processing Technology. My research focuses on extending food shelf life without affecting organoleptic properties and developing innovative processing methods for sustainable food safety and security. I have a particular interest in fermentation processes, prevention and reduction of food waste, and utilization of byproducts.
