Chief Librarian
As the manager and sole employee of Nofima’s library, I am responsible for every aspect of its operations. My duties are wide-ranging, but my main responsibility is always to serve as a vital support function for our researchers at all our locations.
I manage access to databases, journals, EndNote, Grammarly, Consensus, and more. I am one of the super users of the National Science Archive (NVA), responsible for library collaboration both nationally and internationally, Alma, Oria, liaising with publishers and editors, overseeing the library’s intranet pages, publishing and Open Access, Nofima’s publication fund, budget, statistics, and more.
We also have a traditional library with several thousand books and journals.
My academic background is from the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø and the University of Oslo. I hold a Cand.mag degree (equivalent to a bachelor’s) in Mathematics, IT, and Astrophysics. Previously, I have worked at the library of the Research Council of Norway, Tromsdalen Upper Secondary School, and the University Library in Tromsø.
