Jan Vander Roost

I am a senior engineer at Nofima in Bergen and responsible for the implementation and operation of accredited microbiological and molecular analyses.

I build on previous experience from Pharmaq AS, where I was involved in the establishment of a new microbiological laboratory.

A large part of my tasks involve project work. For the most part, this applies to assignments for the feed- and food-related fishing industry, including the mapping of microbiological conditions and process development.

I am a qualified microbiologist with a PhD from the University of Bergen in the geobiological characterisation of Zetaproteobacteria from hydrothermal sources at Jan Mayen.

I completed my master’s degree in biochemistry and biotechnology as an Erasmus student at the University of Oslo.
