I am a Researcher in the Production Biology Department, Aquaculture Division at Nofima, Sunndalsøra, Norway. My research focuses on developing production protocols for recirculating aquaculture (RAS) and other production systems, with particular emphasis on water quality and water treatment technologies. I also work on broodstock, egg quality, early life-stages and fish welfare of salmonids and cod.

Previously, I worked as a Scientist at the Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar, India and my research was on broodstock nutrition, fish reproduction, gamete quality, and larviculture. In addition, I also worked on biofloc, RAS, and pond farming for warm-water species including catfish, carps, snakeheads, shrimps, and prawns.

I hold a master degree in Fish Nutrition and Physiology from the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai, India; PhD from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain and my PhD research was on Broodstock nutritional programming in seabream.
