Danilo Carletto

I completed a BSc in Life Science and a master’s degree in Biology at the University of Messina (Italy) . During my master’s, I specialised in molecular biology, physiology and ecotoxicological analysis. In 2021, I participated in the Erasmus programme, which enabled me to undertake my first trainee position at Nofima Ås. There, I worked on my master’s thesis, focusing on fish health in RAS systems. The following year, I returned to Nofima Ås for another training programme as a junior guest researcher, during which I refined my sampling, analysis and fish health skills. At the conclusion of my two internships, my master’s thesis and all the trial experiments I participated in were published. In 2024, I was recruited for a permanent position as a research technician at the Sunndalsøra station.
My work field is biology, and I have strong competence from laboratory work to sampling assessment.
During the past two years, I have gained substantial experience in technical work, including planning and conducting experiment trials, and have further developed my knowledge of fish production.
