I am a phycologist working in the Production Biology Department in the Aquaculture Division in Tromsø.

Before joining Nofima I worked with marine bivalves and climate change before transitioning to seaweeds during my PhD at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

My research has focused on the effects of climate change on near coastal ecosystems, working with both ecologically and economically interesting seaweed species as well as bivalves and seagrasses.

I find it particularly rewarding to collaborate with specialists using genetic or other detailed tools and helping to put those results in a context relevant to physiology, ecology, and aquaculture.
