I have a PhD i Statistics from University of Oslo . My experience covers both method development and applications within a large number of areas; the most important being spectroscopy, process optimisation, product development and sensory science. The most important publications I have been involved in are the more than 250 peer review papers published in journals related to statistics, chemometrics, food science, sensory science, spectroscopy and analytical chemistry. I have also co-authored and co-edited 7 books in the areas of chemometrics, statistics and sensory science. I have supervised 24 students to final PhD degree and have been the European editor of Journal of Chemometrics (3 years) and Associate editor of Technometrics (2 years). I am member of the national academy for technological sciences.
I have extensive experience as project leader and as chairman of international conferences.
