Muhammad Salman Malik

I am working as a Postdoctoral research fellow in COOLFISH project at Department of Fish Health, located at Ås and focusing on the immunological consequences of early life stress in Atlantic salmon.
I obtained my Ph.D. degree related to fish health pertaining virological and immunological responses in Atlantic salmon from Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in 2021.
My research interests lie in fish health, infection biology and characterization of immune system in fish .
Previously, I have worked as a Forsker at NMBU and I was pivotal in establishing new molecular methods for in situ analysis for the identification of targeted immune cells in response to infectious agents. I graduated with studies in Veterinary Sciences (DVM) and did a master’s degree in Biomedicine from University of Skövde, Sweden in 2010.
