Ingrid Maribu

I work as a scientist at the Department of Marine Biotechnology, where I am involved in a number of different projects.

I have a master’s degree in marine biotechnology from the University of Tromsø. I wrote my thesis in collaboration with Nofima where I worked on chemical and enzyme-assisted extraction of value components, mainly focusing on fucoidan, from different species of brown algae.

Among other things, I work with different processing methods, but also different analytical methods for the characterisation of different value components.
